As a logistics company we understand the importance of ‘doing our bit’ and striving to continuously do better when it comes to our green credentials.
This is both for our operation and physical things on our sites.
We are proud to have a carbon neutral truck wash, one of only a handful in Europe. The rainwater is collected from the roof, recycled, and reused to keep our fleet sparkling. We also use rain water to operate all of our outside taps and to flush our toilets.
On our sites we have carefully considered where we can have multipurpose uses for everyday essentials.
Our bin stores all have living roofs with built in bird houses and bee/insect hotels, where plants and flowers grow, not only great for wildlife but they look nice too!

We planted over 2000 plants and trees at our latest site and have regular gardeners who tend to them. We also managed to integrate three dead Oak Trees to our site that provide a vital food source to the local bat colonies.
As a large distribution company we take our environmental responsibilities seriously and we are targeting to put zero to landfill by 2025.
As far as the operation goes, we use, re-use and recycle everything that we can. We bale all carpet, polythene and cardboard waste, we work with partners across the industry who then recycle these products. Our cardboard tubes are fully recyclable.
Our super powerful solar panels generate enough power to charge our forktrucks!
We have the ability and plan on adding more panels in the future, which will allow us to completely power our operation and are already future proofed with the infrastructure to supply any excess back to the grid
Carpet Recycling UK is an independent non-profit membership association working with manufacturers, distributors, contractors, retailers, fitters and the waste sector to divert carpet waste from landfill.
